Happy Birthday, Xander and Michael!
One of the neatest thing about Mike and Xan is the fact that their birthdays are so close.
Xan, 1/30 and Michael 2/5 ... We end up partying for a week :)
This year, Xander's birthday party was a little unusual for the Elliott Family because we had not met many people yet. However, the ones we had met were more than happy to join in the birthday fun. Xander wanted a Mario party so I made him a Mario cake and ordered pizza (Mario and Luigi's favorite food and very easy for Mommy). Of course no function that the Elliott Family host can happen without an "issue." 2 hours before Xanders party, Louden and Xan were racing up and down the hallway and Lou got shoved, fell to the ground and smashed his head on the tile floor, Bleed immediately! Off to the ER we went where the doctor just shrugged and said "ehhh, just let it clot he'll be fine, not worth putting him through the drama for a couple stitches". LOL! True Story! So home we came where I frantically finished getting ready for the party in an hour. Turned out to be a great evening and Xander had a blast!
One week after Xander's party we had Michael's Party.
This was a much BIGGER event because Michael turned 30!!!!
That's right Ladies and Gentlemen, Michael Elliott is no longer in his beloved 20's!!!
Thank Goodness!
That boy was an handful in his 20's so I am hoping it only gets easier with age :)
For Michael's Party I hosted a Beer Tasting Party and it was a huge SUCCESS! So fun and I highly recommend it for a male themed party.
We had 3 huge buckets in the categories of Cider, International and Australian. Cider is big here in Australia. We had Pub style appetizers and chips, popcorn, nuts and pretzels. For his cake I did a cupcake tree filled with Chocolate cupcakes frosted with peanut butter icing and I did this for 2 reasons 1) PB and Chocolate cake is one of Mikes faves and 2)the color scheme was black and tan :).
We had a great time!
